WELCOME!
I’m Miranda Hassan, and I own and operate MH Equine. I have been training horses and teaching people lessons for nearly 15 years. During this time I have had the opportunity to work with various breeds, disciplines, and training levels of horses. I have honed my program with methods and techniques I have acquired from other successful & respected trainers. My experiences and involvement in various disciplines has resulted in the development of a well-rounded and versatile training style.CERTIFICATIONS

HOW I STARTED
I started riding when I was 12, and haven’t stopped riding since. Throughout my school years I rode around the farm, made lots of miles up and down the creek by our house, penned and team sorted, and attended gymkhanas. I exchanged working hours for lessons with a local instructor to learn new skills. I spent some time with a local horseman who had lots of young horses and learnt how to halter break them and start them under saddle. At 16 I started buying colts from various people, and training them. My interest for starting young horses led me to the Western Ranch & Cowhorse Program at Lakeland College. After graduating in 2011 I advertised my services for colt starting and started taking client horses. I had an outdoor roundpen and arena set up at my dad’s acreage, and hauled to the indoor arena in the winter. I took private lessons with highly respected performance trainers to gain more knowledge. I also attended as many clinics as I could to learn new skills and training exercises. I started showing my own horses in Reining and Cowhorse shows and was having success and a lot of fun.
BUILDING MH EQUINE
In 2012 I bought the quarter I am on now and set up some pens, a small barn, and moved on a mobile home. Training and lessons operated at home from May-October, and November-April I hauled to the indoor arena. In 2017 the indoor arena went up, making training horses year round a lot easier. I have been blessed to have amazing clients that believed in my program and keep me busy year round. In 2022 I started selectively taking client horses, so I could start focusing more on developing a lesson program. I am truly passionate about the horse industry, I love educating and inspiring others.~Miranda~
